Important notice for applying working visa (Z)

Issued to the applicant who is going to China to take a post or to be employed in China, and his/her accompanying spouse and child(ren).

    1,Documents to be submitted when booking appointment

l       One completed visa application form(V.2011A) together with  completed and signed Supplementary Visa Application Form(V2011B), with a recently taken passport photo stuck on it; all the items on the application form should be completed neatly with genuine information; false or incomplete information and illegible characters may lead to refusal of a visa.

l       The original passport with at least six months validity and two blank pages. After the appointment is made, the applicant's passport will be returned to him/her on site.

l       Photocopy of applicant's passport data page and all the previous Chinese visas.

l       The original invitation letter issued by the Chinese government departments, companies and social organizations authorized by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

l       Invitation letter issued by Chinese company including the name of inviter, its business scope , invitee's name, birth date, passport number, purpose of going to China, duration and itinerary in China.

l       The physical Examination Record form.

l       Photocopy and the original Registration Certificate of Foreign Enterprises Permanent Office in China issued by State Administration for Industry and Commerce for a Chief Representative or representative. The original copy will be returned to applicant on interview date.

l       Photocopy and the original Alien Employment License issued by the Chinese Ministry of Labor and Social Security, or The Foreign Expert's Identity Certificate issued by the Chinese State Administration of Foreign Expert for other applicant. The original copy of Alien Employment License and Foreign Expert's Identity Certificate will be returned to applicant on interview date.

l       Any other documents considered necessary by this Consulate-General.

 

2,Procedure , time and reminders

l       Applicants must submit the above-mentioned documents to book appointment on every Tuesday or Thursday morning between 9:30am to 12:30 noon in the Visa Hall.

l       Applicants must come in person to the visa hall with passport and appointment slip for interview on appointed date (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9:30am to 12:30 noon except for holidays)

l       It takes one to two weeks for processing the visa. The expedite fee of 4000 Naira is charged for express.

l       Mail-in application is not accepted.

l       Entrusting others or travel agency for visa submission is not allowed.

l       Alteration or forgery of invitation letters is absolutely forbidden.

l       Those who are proven guilty of the accusations will be deprived of the qualification for China Visa application.

l       Passport with fake Chinese Visa or fake entry & exit stamp will be handed over to the Police and the passport holder will be refused entry into China permanently.

l       Z Visa holders must apply for a residence permit at the local public security authorities within 30 days of entry into China.

l       You pay when you pick up visa.

l       Validity ("Enter Before") means that the visa is valid, or can be used for entry into China from the date of issue to the "Enter Before" date indicated on the visa (Beijing Time). If a visa has unused entries, the bearer can enter China by 24:00 (Beijing Time) of the expiration date.  

l       "Entries" refers to the number of times the bearer is permitted to enter China during the validity of a visa.

l       "Duration of Each Stay" refers to the maximum number of days the visa bearer is permitted to stay in China each time, which is calculated from the date of entry into China.
