On 21 March 2024, the Consulate General of People‘s Republic of China in Lagos, in cooperation with the Nigerian Institute of International Studies (NIIS), the Africa-China Economic Journal, and the Institute of African Studies of Zhejiang Normal University , organised the Lagos Forum 2024 on the theme "The Chinese in the Nigerian Economy - Deepening Development Cooperation: Towards A Shared Future, A Better World". The theme of the Lagos Forum 2024 was "China's Contribution to Nigeria's Economic Development - Deepening China-Nigeria Development Co-operation: Building a Community of Human Destiny and Creating a Better World". Consul General Yan Yuqing attended the forum and delivered a speech, Director of the Institute of African Studies of the Zhejiang Normal University, Prof. Liu Hongwu, The Director-General of the NIIA, Prof. Eghosa Osaghae, The Editor-in-Chief, Africa China Economy Magazine And Online, Mr. Ikenna Emewu and representatives of Chinese and Nigerian enterprises made speeches.
